Randall & Aubin was founded as a butcher shop in 1911 by Morin Randall and Cavenur Aubin. Their aim was to supply the community with a quality of produce only found in Paris, and only best to be found in Britain. They provided a huge range of meats, cheeses, cold meats, fresh bread and delicacies becoming known as one of the finest butchers in London. In 1996 the changing demands of the West End brought an end to that incarnation of Randall & Aubin as a family business. restaurateurs James Poulton and Edward Baines immediately fell for the unique atmosphere and beauty of the original shop and knew it could be shaken back into life. Preserving the fixtures and fittings of this antique site presented obvious challenges but the result is one of London’s landmark establishments. |
